Definition: House Swap

House Swap is a practice in which a party exchanges their house with a another party without actual selling. in house swap, there is a swap of houses or in simple words the houses are exchanges for a temporary period for a specific purpose like small trip, vacation or a party. 

Example, A person in Delhi who might be going to Chandigarh for some time can enter a house swap with a person in Chandigarh who might be looking for the same.

It mostly works through an agency or a portal where people can list their requirements and plans. People who may have common interests (swaps in this case) would be connected and they can work out the house swap deal.
