It is the analysis of both the macro and micro features of the current business, its cause and effect relationships and accordingly coming up with solutionsto rectify the problems in it and recommendations which can help it achieve its desiredgoals and bring profits to its stakeholders.

Thus the process involves a thorough understanding of the complete process andidentifying the current needs and future requirements of the business.
