Definition: Revenue Bond

Revenue bond is a special type of bond which is issued by the municipality. This bonds are issued to raise money for some revenue generating projects such as building of airport, road, toll bridges, water project etc.

The bond holders of revenue bond receive the payment only from the revenue generated from such projects.
