Definition: Term Bonds

It is defined as a group of bonds which mature at the same time. These  could be issued by corporations to  financial institutions  which  finally issue it to various individuals . These bonds usually give yields on maturing and not intermittently . The replacement for these corporate bonds could be serial bonds

These can be classified  on the basis of the periods of their yields

  • Corporate Bonds
  • Serial Bonds

These have regular flow of  funds  and could  aid in  financing at various stages of a project.

However a combination of corporate and serial bonds are also issued. This gives the luxury  of a regular   as  well as a lump sump  return  to the investor.
