In an organizational context, Knowledge Management can be understood as a process that governs the creation, dissemination, and utilization of knowledge.

It is an effort directed at keeping, retaining and using in another form, the knowledge and experiences of the organization so that it forms a virtuous cycle of insights for most of the problem that an organization deals with.

 It comprises of the following efforts with respect to the knowledge of the organization:

  • Creation
  • Representation
  • Distribution
  • Adoption of insights and experiences
