Product competitors refers to the competitors in a particular product class having similar products but differentiated in terms of price, benefits & features provided.

For example:

iPad has its Kindle fire as its competitor product. Both of them are type of tablets but are differentiated from each other in terms of some features & price. Kindle is priced lower than the iPad. Kindle is promoted as having huge library of books, TV shows, movies & other reading material while iPad focuses on its large application store & provide features much beyond books & shows.
