Definition: Bundle

A bundle is one in which one or more product or services are combined together and sold as one single product. It is also sometimes called as a package. It is generally done to offer better value to a customer and also increase sales of one or more products of a company and increase profit margin as packaging and advertising costs are reduced.

For example:

1)      Harpic Red is bundled with the existing Harpic Blue as it would enhance the sales of Harpic Red, a new product as Harpic Blue is a leader in its own segment.

2)      KFC Chicken Zinger Meal is a bundle containing a Burger, French Fries and Coke. It is sold as a meal to cater to all such customers who want to buy a complete package at a lower cost.
