Definition: Full Container Load (FCL)

If all the goods to be transported is accommodated in one single container, it is called Full Container Load, it is not necessary that the container is actually full to its capacity, it just indicates that the material inside the container is owned by a single supplier and has booked the entire space of the container.

For example

Walmart generally ships all its products and goods in a FCL shipment i.e. it uses the entire container space to transport all its varied products in one container and books the entire space, it might be possible that much if it might go free but for ease of operations, Walmart always tries using a FCL shipment.
