Definition: Channel

In operations terminology, channel means “Distribution Channel”. Channel is a mode by which a service or good is made available to the end consumer (B2C) or to the business (B2B) with the use of intermediaries or direct means. It is also known as “Trade Channel”.

Here the intermediary may be an institution or individual who sells as an agent or acquires the title of the goods and sells it on his own account.
