Definition: Constraints

It is factor that creates bottleneck in a system. The system will not be able to achieve its full capacity of potential because of the presence of the constraint in the system.

In case of mathematics it is the factor that has to be satisfied by assigning variables in order to find a solution. It consists of:

- Possible values for the variable

Using the above variables and domain values, all the constraints need to be satisfied.
