Universal studios is a big conglomerate comprising of two business divisions.

First, Comcast Cable which takes care of the Cable communication; second, the NBCUniversal which has four business segments namely Cable Networks, Broadcast Television, Filmed Entertainment, Theme Parks.

Cable communication mainly entails the video, voice and internet services. Cable Networks is responsible for national, regional networks and news and cable production related activities. Broadcast television works for broadcast networks. Filmed Entertainment deals with the Universal studio operations which is production, marketing and distribution of films and television series. Theme parks is another source of revenue which acts as an important part of marketing and promotional activities.
