Description

NATIONAL FINANCE SYMPOSIUM 2012

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is conducting the National Finance Symposium with the objective of exploring the possible long-term effects of the fast-moving economic changes and the host of new opportunities and risks that are being unleashed. This seminar is another effort by the institute to offer the knowledge and opinion leaders a platform to share their views. Rather than focusing on one aspect of the finance industry, the Symposium aims to look holistically at the current trends and issues that are shaping the financial world. By combining discussion on current issues with leading industry representatives, the Finance Symposium is the perfect platform for those looking to gain basic familiarity or explore advanced topics.

Taking a hard look at new global investment strategies and risk, this is an opportunity for managers from the investment and corporate world to be an audience to the eminent personalities and visionaries from the industry. Additionally, this will provide a forward-looking educational and networking forum for addressing a range of timely opportunities and challenges specific to investment community but relevant to all global investors.

Now in its 7th year, the symposium shall this year focus on 'The New Era of Regulation in Finance'. This theme encompasses various aspects such as:

1. What to do of banks that have become too big to fail?

3. Banking Regulations in India: Post the Crisis
