Its founders were Charles Revson, Joseph and Charles Lachman and had its origin from the period of Great Depression. Lancôme is a French luxury perfume company which specializes in skincare, perfume and makeup. This company aims toward the higher end customers and have a niche market share. Lancôme is a part of L’Oreal and exports products internationally.

6. Estée Lauder:

Estee Lauder is a company based in the United States of America which deals in diverse sectors of Haircare, Fragrance, makeup and Skincare under various labels. It was founded by Estee Lauder and her husband in the year 1946 and is headquartered at General Motors Building in New York. The brand was born due to the founder’s aspiration to be an actress but beauty business was something that the founder was made up of.

7. TRESemmé:

TRESemmé was founded in 1947 in Missouri and was later acquired by Unilever in 2010. A lot of other products were added to the chain at a later stage. TRESemmé has positioned itself as a best hair-care brand in the industry.

8. Fiama Di Wills:

Since the launch in 2007, ITC's subsidiary brand Fiama Di Wills concentrates on products providing gentle and effective care to modern and confident customers who seeks indulgences making them feel fresh, beautiful and young. Oriflame is a Swedish multi-national beauty products company which has adopted a model of selling directly to the consumer. It was founded in 1967 by Jochnick brothers. Oriflame draws its name from a royal banner of medieval France “Oriflamme”.

10. Maybelline:

Maybelline is a makeup brand based out of US and has its operations throughout the world. It belongs to the French cosmetic company known as L’Oréal. In 1915, a young entrepreneur created the Maybelline company.
