Owing to its previous name, the company is primarily involved in designing, manufacturing, developing, and selling of heavy machinery. Later, it has been selling Financial products and insurance across the world through a strong network of distribution.

It was founded in 1847 and is named after its founder Werner von Siemens who was a great inventor and a visionary. Its headquarter is in Munich, Germany.

J C Bamford Excavators Limited, known as JCB, is an English construction equipment manufacturing company. It was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford in 1945. It has its headquarters in Rochester, Staffordshire.

6. Komatsu:

Komatsu is one of the biggest competitors of Caterpillar.
